I chose to create a series of short, interactive instructional videos instead of a full eLearning course. The videos were designed to be easy to click through, with sections learners could skim or revisit based on their needs. They included visible timestamps and prompts for learners to pause and interact with their own Monday.com boards, supporting active engagement without halting the flow of the lesson.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Introduction<\/h2>

Hi there, and thanks for stopping by to check out my work! In this portfolio piece, I\u2019m sharing a project where I designed a series of short, interactive videos<\/strong> to train senior leaders and directors on Monday.com. The challenge was that existing training was generic, not company-specific, and these busy leaders had little time to commit to traditional eLearning modules. The goal was to help them learn the platform quickly, safely, and effectively.<\/p>

The Challenge<\/h2>

Learners were new to Monday.com and frequently turned to SMEs with questions. While the platform itself is intuitive, leaders were hesitant to explore on their own and worried about making mistakes. Traditional eLearning was unlikely to engage them because of time constraints and the perceived burden of completing a full module. We needed a training approach that respected their schedules and encouraged independent exploration.<\/p>

Designing the Solution<\/h2>

To address this, I created a series of interactive micro-learning videos<\/strong>, each under five minutes, designed to be both engaging and practical. Key features included:<\/p>

  • Pause screens for exploration:<\/strong> Learners could safely play with a cloned Monday Board, experiment with tasks, and make mistakes without affecting real data.<\/p><\/li>

  • Curated content:<\/strong> Videos addressed the most common questions submitted to SMEs, guiding learners through real-world scenarios relevant to the company.<\/p><\/li>

  • Step-by-step guidance:<\/strong> While learners were encouraged to find answers on their own, the videos provided solutions if they needed them, keeping the experience low-stakes.<\/p><\/li>

  • Intuitive flow:<\/strong> The content mirrored real workflows, helping learners see how to navigate Monday.com for tasks they would encounter on the job.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

    I affectionately called this approach \u201cDora the Explorer\u201d training: <\/strong>learners could explore, experiment, and learn at their own pace, with the video resuming to provide answers if they didn\u2019t engage with the practice activity.<\/p>

    The Outcome<\/h2>

    Learners responded very positively to the interactive, micro-learning format. Feedback indicated that the videos made the platform easier to navigate, reduced repetitive emails to SMEs, and increased confidence in using Monday.com independently. While we don\u2019t yet have quantitative performance data, the department was asked to produce additional videos using the same approach, showing strong adoption and stakeholder approval.<\/p>

    Learning<\/h2>

    This project was also a learning opportunity for my peers and the stakeholders. I was able to mentor colleagues on balancing interactivity with brevity, and I coached leadership on how design choices (e.g., video length, prompts for safe exploration, and micro-learning strategies) can increase adoption and engagement. It reinforced the value of designing for time-constrained, high-level learners<\/strong> while still promoting independent problem-solving.<\/p>
